On June 16, 2006, I was sitting outside, relaxing on a hot summer night, when a new voice boomed out in my head: "Carrie". And then it began to speak.

This voice was so strong and authoritative, stronger even than Quado, that I had to interrupt and ask: "Who is this?"

The answer I received was: "I am He who is without a name."

Well, that was enough for me, so I said, "Don't go away!" and ran to get my journal, came back, settled down and said, "OK, start over, please."

The message that came was one for me and Maureen Moss, a wonderfully lifted and spiritual being who has become not only a great friend, but a kindred--no, a twin--spirit in my quest.

The message I received was this: "You, both of you, are here to shine out with a brighter light and a higher frequency, enough so that you will lift millions of people to a higher level. Yes, the two of you will accomplish this. This is your higher intention and you have all the power you require to fulfill it."

The recording I am presenting to you today is the first step in fulfilling that purpose.

I have been searching for a way to give you the benefits of a full meditative connection with spirit easily, quickly, and continuously throughout the day, because I know how many demands you have upon you and how difficult it is for you to set aside the time to meditate.

But music has great power to evoke an immediate response, and it came to me to record that most transcendent melody, Schubert's Ave Maria, but with lyrics which would become a powerful invocation, a call to spirit. And so I wrote:

Here I am

Tender and loving comes your spirit

I open my heart and feel your presence

Full of grace and serenity

Surround me now with compassion and love

And abiding peace

I know that fear and doubt cannot withstand

The pure and shining light of love

I pray that I may have the courage

To shine with love every day of my life

Here I am

And then I followed this with the lovely traditional Latin Ave Maria verse.

Before I went into the studio to record this song, I became one with my intention: to create a tool for you, so that just by listening, you would be filled with spirit. And it was my desire and intention that this tool would not only work for you, my friends who have been traveling with me and Quado on this wonderful journey, but for everyone who heard this song.

Before I went into the studio, I called Maureen and asked her to hold me in the light throughout the recording session, and this she did. When I went into the recording booth, I was instantly bathed in love and light, completely filled with spirit and deeply connected to all that is. And then I sang.

The resulting song is a powerful invocation to spirit, one which you can not only use in the morning, as a part of your peaceful spiritual routine, but also when you are stuck in traffic on the freeway, or need to center yourself before an important meeting or recover from a difficult confrontation.

At first, I planned to release it as a single recording on a CD. But people who heard it had the same experience I did: once you hear it and feel it, you want to stay in that place and play it over and over.

I therefore constructed the CD so that it plays the song continuously for nearly an hour, so that you may experience it as a mantra for as long as it feels right: "Here I Am!"
