Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas Debates On Slavery

Smaller Font Larger Font RSS 2.0

ed slavery are alive and thriving in our world. Unfortunately, there's been a dumbing down of the American mind-heart-soul in a country which I strongly believe was created to fulfill a divine calling as THE Beacon of Hope and Faith for mankind.

Given all the darkness We The People see circling around us, how can we even begin to rise up and reverse this process?

Begin by affirming the existence of SLAVERY in our world.

It's time for Alan Keyes, Barack Obama, Jerry Kohn and many others to transcend personal political claims, take the high road and gather together in the light of this new day that is dawning in our world and discuss the subject of slavery in the open so that everyone can learn and benefit from these exchanges.

Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas debated the subject of slavery during six debates 146 years ago. It's important to note that "although Lincoln lost the election, these debates launched him into national prominence which eventually led to his election as President of the United States" - see below.

Alan Keyes must take this page from history for it is calling every individual to face the underlying dark truth behind what's wrong in America right now for the institutionalized forces of corporate-government-banking supported slavery has been destroying our great country from within ever since the ink dried on the Constitution for the United States of America in 1787.

It's time to take the high road and bring these truths right out into the open for public discussion.

More government is not the answer.

More laws and regulations are not the answer.

Less slavery IS the answer and the back of slavery will not be broken unless individuals from all spectrums and walks of life begin to join in these debates so that we can begin to witness firsthand that there's only ONE (1) holy and divine cause from our one Lord God who will always be compelling us to face these dark truths so that the light of His divine truth and the power of divine goodness can work it's incredibly magnificent wonder just as it did during the Lincoln-Douglas debates in 1858 which was THE catalyst that ended the physical-temporal slavery of blacks in our country.

These debates MUST begin tomorrow on the 146th anniversary of the FIRST of Seven Debates between Lincoln and Douglas. Even if you have to hastily put this together this MUST be done.

I would be happy to volunteer to help organize this today for a meeting tomorrow in Ottawa. All you have to do is make some conference calls and then drive to Ottawa and BEGIN the process of activating this historic calling.

It's time to shed the old scales of political expediency. It's time to "reach for the stars" as my late father, Fred K. Smart Jr. used to tell me and my other three siblings while growing up.

Alan Keyes and every candidate should join hands and enter this debate. For the subject of slavery is what we need to focus on until the Kingdom of Heaven is realized in our wonderful world now and forever, Amen.

I would like to discuss this subject with Alan and members of his staff today!! I can be reached at the numbers below.

Peace and God Bless,

The Lincoln-Douglas Debates of 1858

The Lincoln-Douglas debates were a series of formal political debates between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas in a campaign for one of Illinois' two United States Senate seats. Although Lincoln lost the election, these debates launched him into national prominence which eventually led to his election as President of the United States.

We are deeply indebted to the work of the Abraham Lincoln Association in collecting Lincoln's writings and publishing them as The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln. It was from this monumental work that these selections were taken. The copyright to The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln is owned by the Abraham Lincoln Association, and any further copying or use of these debate transcripts must be with their permission.
