Fall From Greatness
A country strong with pride yet full of conviction;
Led to destruction by its leaders contradictions.
A path laid out in the name of peace;
Laid to ruin at their leaders feet.
His blind ambition clouds his way;
Refusing to hear what his people have to say.
The world watches and waits as the day draws near;
This mans decision has already shown clear.
Ignoring the warnings or other nations;
He leads us down the path of certain damnation.
In the beginning his cause was accepted without question;
But in the end his power became his main obsession.
This country once filled with pride and contentment;
Now hangs its head in utter resentment.
Not willing to admit his own selfishness;
This man led our country into its fall from greatness.
