We receive a great deal of news via the media. What type of messages are we receiving? Everywhere people are facing different types of crises. We also often face personal internal crises. Many families today are in crisis due to differences and conflicts of personality. Communities and whole nations are in crisis due to competition and misunderstanding. Much of this is due to selfishness. Suicide by young people is increasing. So conflict is increasing and so is the means by which we receive new. In India there are more than 130 TV channels. They keep on repeating the news of violence and problems. As a result watchers get depressed. There is no way that watchers can get inner peace and joy by watching these programmes. A sign of wisdom is that someone will think how to bring peace and solace to society.

It is said, ‘Silence is golden. Speech is silver.’ When the mind remains in silence then the thoughts become very elevated and peaceful. Our thinking becomes very positive. We can then create thoughts to bring happiness to others. Some people sulk in silence and then become depressed. But true silence in the mind creates positivity within.

If someone is seriously ill they are given sedatives so that they can rest. At that time they create fewer thoughts. They put up ‘silence’ signs so that people remain quiet in that area. Too much thinking exhausts us. If you think a lot you won’t be able to sleep at night. When you wake up you won’t feel refreshed. Through meditation we can visualise and can reset our thinking patterns. We can experience beautiful moments in silence. When you practice meditation, try to practice in such a way that you accumulate inner silence. In silence we can perceive our own true selves. In the Indian scriptures it says, ‘Where there is silence there is God’. Through silence we can communicate with the Supreme Being. Many people do feel relieved and relaxed through prayer but when they move into their da ily routine their thought patterns change.

Drugs and alcohol give temporary happiness but then the person becomes depressed. If you meditate at regular periods through the day and before sleeping at night then you will experience constant pleasure. Meditation brings us back to ourselves – back to our true nature. In meditation we think, I am a spiritual being. I have just come here to play my role. I belong to the Supreme Being. On the basis of my thoughts I move my mind. I see myself internally through my third eye of wisdom as being close to the Supreme Being. There is just me and God, my spiritual companion. Whether I think of that One as my Mother, Father, Friend, whoever…but I am with that One.

All religions have prayers to bring people close to God. The vibrations in places where people pray with piety are so high. According to the activity which happens in any place, vibrations are created. Having received this knowledge we should create such vibrations in the world which help others to experience peace. In meditation we get connected to the source of peace – The Supreme Being and thus the power of peace we receive is enormous. However, in order to receive the power of peace, the power of purity, the power of love and all the other powers the Supreme has, I need to form a personal relationship with the Supreme and this is different from just believing in Him. Just as through science we can connect with other people whilst at a distance, so too we can connect with the Supreme Soul through love from the heart. Th ere is no need to fear God. If you fear, you cannot go near. We are His eternal children. It is just that we forgot this and lost sight of the relationship with Him and the benefits we could receive through relationship with Him. He is now reminding us, feel yourself, know yourself, experience yourself as my child and see what benefits you receive. The power that is required to heal the heart comes from this relationship with God. We can remain stable by knowing that there is really nothing new. Yes, there may be the echo of karma because we have the freedom to perform whatever karmas we which. We enjoy or suffer on the basis of the actions we perform. In returning to the wisdom of being eternal souls, the fear of death disappears.

We all have the power of intuition. When we do something our conscience tells us if we are doing the right thing or not. If we listen to our conscience then we won’t suffer. We will instead benefit. We all want to be constantly happy and peaceful but happiness and peace is based on using our qualities in life. Each one of us has those qualities. If you hate or are hated then you cannot enjoy peace and love. If someone dislikes you then you need to use the power of silence to change that person’s thoughts. This actually does happen.

We now need to return to our own true nature, connect to the Supreme and multiply our own power of silence. Do this and you will see how beautiful your life becomes. Great people became great through silence. On just coming to see the Dadis souls return totally transformed…

On starting the practice of meditation our search ends. Peacelessness emerges through the vices. If you dislike someone you will never experience peace. Only in silence can we finish the vices because we can connect with the Supreme – the Source of Power. On one side we renounce our weaknesses and on the other side we recharge our batteries. We become full. We can then enjoy each moment of this life in positivity. Do this and you will always be happy hearted. Nothing will be able to bring you down.

Om Shanti

DIVINE MESSAGE - 05.12.11

No one can argue with the fact

that in the face of anger, peace

of mind is impossible. Only

through kindness and love can

peace of mind be achieved.
