Is there a shift occurring nationally and collectively in a world's system of belief? The world is much smaller than it used to be. In this age of the internet and various information technologies, even remote countries thousands of miles away are only a few hours away by flight, or just a click away by computer.

 

This generation and generations to come rests heavily on its recognizing and being prepared for extreme challenges from both geological and geopolitical events. The restructuring of national and world communities will have a different appearance in our near future. The question is - which direction will it go?

 

 

The Law of Averages

 

What I am about to say is mostly unpopular and to-which I receive a majority of nasty emails. It appears to go against many popular personalities especially in the metaphysical genre. However, I believe it to be true (or maybe just my truth) but please consider its meaning. In a side note: the authors of many of the books which discuss this topic - I know personally and remain friendly with all of them. We just see things a bit different.

 

A popular belief is that just a few can change the world by joining together with prayer and meditation - I am not one of those people. I believe it is not just about prayer or mediation -- it is about ones conviction with integrity and the empowerment to carry that out.

 

This is to say I believe that if a group of 1,000,000 people prayed and meditated on a common vision of what the world should be like i.e. peace, love, community - and a different group of say 2,000,000 people prayed and meditated on a common vision of what their world should be like i.e. greed, war, separateness - the second group will win every time.

 

I am saying one should not, and cannot force ones will i.e. beliefs, vision, perspective onto another. It doesn't work and almost always backfires ending up in resentment and ill will. It goes back to the concept of what so many of our world leaders proclaim: "You're either with me, or against me."

 

The Law of Influence

 

Having said the above - history clearly shows that ones vision, ideas, and convictions of a few (or one) can influence a whole nation or the world. This is very different from a segment of the population praying 'their will' onto others. It is when ones conviction aligns with others, does it become manifest into action and change.

 

Examples are many and here are just a few: Jesus, Buddha, Dali Lama, and Gandhi.

 

A common thread that is apparent of all who truly influence, is their (or group) ability to empower others. Jesus turned to his disciples and said: "stop following (mimic) every move I make, the power is not within me, it is within you." Buddha said: "First, rely on the spirit and meaning of the teachings, not on the words; Second, rely on the teachings, not on the personality of the teacher; Third, rely on real wisdom, not superficial interpretation; And fourth, rely on the essence of your pure wisdom mind, not on judgmental perceptions".

 

Mayan prophecy explains it a different way. The elders do indeed hold prayer and meditation vigils to balance energy, but they have said: "our actions alone will not change the world. It will take the shift of consciousness of each individual and who holds true to their integrity. We are in the time of change as we transition from the 4th World into the 5th World. This new energy will help people see - who want to see."

 

So what is the "will" of the people?

 

In my discussion with elders, they often mentioned our ability to change (or manage) upcoming events. In the last few decades, some would say we have seen the 'worst' of our nature. Spiritual principles of doing good for our neighbors were twisted and disguised only for us to find out, when it was too late, of the deception laid upon us. The once innocent and well-meaning idea of "Winning the Hearts and Minds" of a people became nothing more than a manipulative ploy to gain power and control over others.

 

My understanding of Mayan prophecy tells us change is here and will intensify. It is brought on by a flux of charged particles accelerated from the center of our galaxy (Milky Way). This is having a dynamic affect on our Sun, our solar system, our planet, and on us (humans). We are not helpless bystanders, we will have a new knowledge telling (reminding) us of the power we hold inside which has always meant to be a co-facilitator of the universe we live in (with).
