Dieter Braun is an artist/healer of Cree/German decent who has recently moved to Great Spirit Manitou,112 Watrous St, Manitou Beach from Saskatoon (Dieter lives across from the spa in the house beside the teepee).  Previously a college teacher for several years, Dieter has cultivated a strong internet presence by providing hundreds of articles and over 40 videos featuring his sky observations, spiritual insights, photographs and music.  He provides ionic foot baths manufactured in Saskatoon, to be locally sold and administered at Great Spirit Manitou, and sold worldwide via his website at www.indianinthemachine.com.

Dieter plays native flute, and drums and various other instruments and has played music throughout Saskatchewan, most recently at the Ness Creek Music Festival, where he shared the mainstage with a group of musician/shamans from Ecuador.   Braun recorded several CDs under his Indian name, "Indian in the machine" which translates as "Universal being in the manmade world of illusions".  Braun's newest Indian in the machine CD, "Manitou Spirit" has been his way of documenting his feelings and intentions about living in along the shore of Little Manitou Lake.  Says Braun, "I believe the many artists and healers are been guided to various energy points all across the planet, it's only natural to see that this would include the very special waters and air of salty Little Manitou Lake."  Songs such as "Ion wind", "Manitou Spirit" and "Become clean, become clear" highlight Braun's viewpoint that we are all spiritual beings first, having a physical experience second.  Dieter shares o

ne of his fundamental beliefs, "the key to peace, love and harmony is Self-mastery of emotions, body, spirit and thoughts....while remembering who we are and why we are here."

The sound chosen for "Manitou Spirit", is a special mix of ethnic instruments, including the Irish Bouzouki which Braun uses often, "The Irish Bouzouki is a gentle instrument which I find works quite nicely with chant".  Braun also enjoys recording music because it allows him to capture songs conceived in spirit, "A personal thrill for me is to be able to turn on the computer, press 'record' and with a few notes if any or perhaps a rhythm or a collaboration with other musicians....eventually providing an entire new song birthed".  Dieter's spirit songs often develop a flowing quality that moves beyond many chosen formulas such as verse, chorus, verse chorus..., that are common. Says one internet blogger about a recorded chant conceived in spirit, Kat writes, "As I listen to this song (Heart open wide), it stirs my soul and brings tears to my eyes. I feel my soul whispering, "Remember!" something empty inside of me calls out to be filled up with the energy from this piece."

Dieter feels that his role at Manitou Beach is to remind people that we are infinitely powerful beings who can recreate our world around us at any point we desire.  Dieter feels this message is important because of the many challenges that all communities are facing, says Braun, "Our financial system and governments are collapsing before our very eyes. We are seeing, living and experiencing the desolation of old ways, so that new more harmonious ways can be birthed in the Light."   Dieter believes that what we experience is first conceived in the spiritual world, before it's experienced in the physical world, therefore each path to Self-mastery is paved with living consciously noting one's  "thoughts", "intentions" and "actions", an ongoing self-monitoring process facilitated with wisdom, compassion and love. Dieter says, "people come from all over the world to Little Manitou Lake because they are seeking something....it's to become whole again".

At Manitou Beach, Dieter Braun is available for appointments for spiritual and nutritional consultations, ionic footbaths, and canoe tours.  Indian in the machine CDs are available at Great Spirit Manitou 112 Watrous St., Manitiou Beach, and Witch's Brew in Saskatoon.

Dieter and friends will be hosting "Manitou Pilgrimage 2008" Aug 15-17, a celebration of health, healing and harmony featuring drums, music, 2012, nature, detoxification. As well, inspired by the high price of gasoline and care for the environment, there will be special workshops offered on free energy, and orgonite energy.
