Tho His laws are righteous, and meant for our own good,
He doesn't pound it into us,
And say we must do thus and thus,
But usually we know we really should.
Now let us consider our family and friends,
The inlaws and the outlaws too.
They think they know what's best for you,
And their advice to you just never ends.
No, you shouldn't eat that, just wait until it's ripe.
Why would you drive when you can fly?
How can you eat that rhubarb pie?
No, don't wed her, she's not your type.
We all have our own way, for doing what we do.
It's not a case of right or wrong,
You go ahead and sing your song,
And show respect for other's free will too.
