JFK explains the real purpose of the First Amendment
John Friend
Amendment ICongress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
In his admirable and quite remarkable speech at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in 1961 entitled "The President and the Press," President John F. Kennedy explained the precise role of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution - the role the Founding Fathers had in mind when they added it to the Bill of Rights:
No President should fear public scrutinity of his program. For from that scrutiny comes understanding; and from that understanding comes support or opposition. And both are necessary. I am not asking your newspapers to support the Administration, but I am asking your help in the tremendous task of informing and alerting the American people. For I have complete confidence in the response and dedication of our citizens whenever they are fully informed.
I not only could not stifle controversy among your readers - I welcome it. This Administration intends to be candid about its errors; for as a wise man once said: "An error does not become a mistake until you refuse to correct it." We intend to accept full responsibility for our errors; and we expect you to point them out when we miss them.
Without debate, without criticism, no Administration and no country can succeed - and no republic can survive. That is why the Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime for any citizen to shrink from controversy. And that is why our press was protected by the First Amendment - the only business in America specifically protected by the Constitution - not primarily to amuse and entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and sentimental, not to simply "give the public what it wants" -but to inform, to arouse, to reflect, to state our dangers and our opportunities, to indicate our crises and our choices, to lead, mold educate and sometimes even anger public opinion.
This means greater coverage and analysis of international news - for it is no longer far away and foreign but close at hand and local. It means greater attention to improved understanding of the news as well as improved transmission. And it means, finally, that government at all levels, must meet its obligation to provide you with the fullest possible information outside the narrowest limits of national security...
And so it is to the printing press - to the recorder of mans deeds, the keeper of his conscience, the courier of his news - that we look for strength and assistance, confident that with your help man will be what he was born to be: free and independent.
My oh my, how things have changed in America. No American president since President Kennedy would dare say any of the truthful things about the First Amendment and the role of the press and media in maintaining a free, independent, and healthy Republic. President Kennedy's wise words here echo those of our Founding Fathers, who fully understood the importance of a free press and the role it plays in ensuring human freedom and preventing tyranny.
In America today, we do not have a free press - we have a controlled press, and we have had a controlled press for quite some time now. The people and organized political and financial interests that own and control the press and mass media are easily identifiable: they are virtually all Jews, as Jewish writers and journalists openly admit and brag about.
The role of the Jewish owned and controlled media is to not only propagandize and brainwash the public with a specific agenda, but also to downplay and cover up the greatest crimes committed against the American people, protecting the highest level criminals in the process. In many cases, the media actually plays a central role in executing the greatest and most dastardly crimes against the American people.
The controlled press has destroyed the concept of truth and justice, and has filled the public's mind with cultural, social, and historical falsehoods and poisons masquerading as legitimate exercises of free speech. The First Amendment was not written so homosexuals, pornographers, and other deceitful, degenerate, and twisted minds could corrupt and pollute society with their filth, inverting our collective historical narrative in the process. That is the Jewish understanding and conception of the First Amendment, not the manner in which it was developed by the righteous men who founded this once great nation. And President Kennedy certainly understood this.
