HR6304 - FISA AMENDMENTS ACT

On June 20, 2008 - 293 Representatives voted in favor to invalidate the 4th Amendment

But before they voted, this is what our leaders in Washington had to say about HR6304

AMENDMENT IV:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

"Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither."

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

The 4th amendment has now been abolished! This is both scary and appalling, but for those of us who have been following the progression (read: regression) of Congress and the White House for years now, it is no

surprise. Unfortunately, the vitiation of American liberties and expanding of US government powers is nothing new these days, but follows an infamous, well-laid path.

Watch the below video. You can be in favor of this bill only if you can believe that this new power will not be abused by a government that has already abused the amendment countless times already, even when it was in place. Now they don't even need to practice restraint, make excuses or go through the bothersome paper work.

The below passionate plaint, whoever wrote it, says it all. Yes, for Americans "it is time to take a stand", and with the words of Franklin ringing in their ears: “He who chooses to give up liberty for security deserves to have neither."

"Today, I shed tears in horror as those who were elected to keep our freedoms safe are attempting to take them from us.  Yes, this bill has passed.  It is time to fire Congress.  It is up to us to do something about this travesty.  November is of vital importance.  It is time to take your stand."
