Many on the Left repeatedly say that the three allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, especially Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, have been corroborated.

Now, many argue that Sen. Jeff Flake's (R-Ariz.) insistence in demanding an FBI investigation vindicate these claims.

But is that the case?

The Daily Caller reports:

“There are now multiple, corroborated allegations against Judge Kavanaugh, made under the penalty of perjury, all of which deserve a thorough investigation,” Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer tweeted Wednesday.

...

Here's the truth:

Accusations from Ford and Ramirez have not been corroborated by eyewitnesses.

Some argue that evidence like therapist notes and statements from people who remember hearing about the events at the time corroborate the claims.

Law professors say that there is no legal standard for corroboration that applies for these allegations and that corroboration is ultimately a matter of opinion.

Bottom line: the accusations from Ford, a high school acquaintance, and Ramirez, who attended Yale University with Kavanaugh, are uncorroborated by any eyewitness or undisputed evidence.

That explains why neither Maryland's Montgomery County Police Department, the FBI, nor the sex crimes prosecutor hired by the majority on the Senate Judiciary Committee expressed interest in prosecuting Kavanaugh – much less obtaining a search warrant.
