Mother Earth

Mother Earth is crying and we are the reason why.
We have heaped debris upon her and spewed poison in her Sky.
Mother Earth is dying, her skin a cancerous sore.
She cannot support our life here any more.
The wildlife living here (and dying day by day)
Should for us be warnings that our world is in decay.
while Mother Earth lives a cure yet may be found,
If we but make the effort to turn her fate around.
