I am With You
Trying to connect through the maze of wires,
spider webs of interference and noise,
violence, confusion and fear
is descent into a cave dark without oxygen,
both sensory overload and deprivation.
Just another morning in the City,
pushing back the curtain of mediocrity,
looking out into the gray sky
wondering what my message should be.
Returning to the center
there is balance and peace.
I am distant from Her but still connected.
The planet jolts from Samoa to the Caribbean,
earthquakes, typhoons and tsunami waves.
She is in the throes of what will be born.
I have but one message: I am with you.
