Recent reports have surfaced that the United States has taken a Chinese defector into custody and he has considerable knowledge of Chinese bioweapons and Covid-19. According to reports by RedState, the defector’s name and identity have been confirmed as Dong Jingwei, a vice minister of State Security and he defected in mid-February after flying to the United States with his daughter from Hong Kong.

Dong Jingwe has reportedly provided information to the United States on early studies of the virus which came to be known as SARS-CoV-2.

Dong Jingwe has reportedly also given the United States research conducted by Chinese officials which predicted the spread and damage that COVID-19 could cause on a global scale. According to the World Health Organization, COVD-19 has claimed the lives of 3,840,223 people across the world.

The Chinese defector has also reportedly provided the United States with financial records linking specific organizations to payments associated with researching biological weapons and COVID-19.

Not only did Dong provide intel into U.S. businesses and citizens leaking information to the CCP but he also reportedly handed over a list of U.S.-based spies that either work in the country or attend university here.
It’s important to note the Biden administration previously nixed a Trump-era program that tracked Chinese influence in American universities. Perhaps now Biden will want to rethink that decision.

The Chinese defector also gave United States officials a list of citizens and businesses that have received payouts from the Chinese government. According to the report by RedState, Dong also gave details of meetings US government officials had (perhaps unwittingly) with Chinese spies and members of Russia’s SVR.
