You know the extraordinary battles LCA fights. It is no exaggeration to say we are on the cutting edge of many of the most momentous political struggles in America’s history. We have been blessed with many key victories in both law and public policy. And we are constantly under attack from forces that hate the Christian values upon which our nation was founded.

 

Now, our organization has come to a time that can only be described as a “God-moment.”

 

For 33 years, LCA has been fighting to restore our values in Washington DC, but today we have the opportunity to do something that is both rare and extremely significant in the life of a ministry.

 

The ancient Greeks had a specific word for such a time – kairos. It has the context of an opportune time and a season appointed by God.  It is a “God-moment” and is heavy with a sense of His direction and unprecedented opportunity. Right now, Liberty Counsel Action’s has come to a “God-moment.”

 

We have received God’s faithful provision to accomplish our mission with humility and gratitude. But today the opportunities are of an entirely different nature.

 

Last year, an influential ministry in the nation’s capital became part of the Liberty Counsel family of ministries. It is housed in a three-story, historic building strategically located directly across the street from the U.S. Supreme Court and within a short walk to the Capitol and the White House.

 

We began leasing the building, but now have the chance to purchase it outright for less than the building was appraised for in 2014. The properties in this prime location are rising in value and sell for well above their asking prices.

 

After very carefully considering this opportunity and submitting it to a time of focused prayer, we believe this is God’s provision and a path into Liberty Counsel Action’s future. We feel it is a “God-moment” and it’s occurring at precisely the right time.

 

May I take a moment to further describe this property we intend to make a vibrant, shining testimony to God’s love for America and the people who work in government on Capitol Hill?

 

This beautiful building is directly across the street from the private entrance used by the Justices when they daily come to the Supreme Court. When the President visits the Court, the motorcade passes directly in front of the facility. In full view, this building’s front yard displays a striking stone replica of the Ten Commandments! The location could not be more ideal for ministry and Christian impact in the nation’s capital.

 

As wonderful as this strategically located building may be, it’s what we will be using it for that truly excites me. This will be a center dedicated to reaching out to Capitol Hill with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

It will be a hub of focused prayer for our nation’s leaders and those who work in governmental offices. And it will be a strategic ministry center for creative outreaches that constantly keep the Word of God and His Presence in the nation’s capital.
