We hear about them almost daily.

“Mentally ill” loners who slaughter a classroom of students before shooting themselves; young Americans, male and female, who travel overseas to join ISIS and become barbarians and sex slaves; people who amputate healthy body parts in a desperate attempt to become the opposite sex, or who purposely put drain cleaner in their eyes to blind themselves or cut off their own hand, all to “feel more comfortable” with themselves; entertainment idols who revel in wild sexuality and mock God; and of course, the latest outrages of a “transformative” president who supports America’s enemies, betrays her friends, and leads a lawless government that daily tramples the Constitution, encourages massive invasion of the American homeland and prosecutes Christians as criminals.

Yes, such sensational and bizarre stories increasingly dominate the news cycle.

But these represent only the barest tip of an iceberg, harbingers of a massive and growing pathology sweeping America in the Age of Obama, as bestselling author David Kupelian reveals in his newest book, “The Snapping of the American Mind: Healing a Nation Broken by a Lawless Government and Godless Culture,” releasing nationally on Oct. 13.

Kupelian, vice president and managing editor of WND and editor of Whistleblower magazine, is the author of two other influential books, “The Marketing of Evil,” and its sequel, “How Evil Works.”

Turbocharged by the Obama presidency, explains Kupelian, long-coalescing forces of the political and cultural left are bringing about their much-heralded “fundamental transformation of America.” That much everyone knows.

Examining the various social experiments the left has subjected Americans to in recent decades, the results are revealed to be nothing short of catastrophic. For example, abortion: Major studies now prove women having abortions are far more likely to later become mentally ill than pregnant women who do not. What about the widespread family breakdown so encouraged and incentivized by leftist policies? Fatherlessness is the No. 1 indicator for child poverty, drug abuse, sexual abuse, gang membership and imprisonment. What about the far-left orientation of most U.S. universities? Experts now conclude the extreme political correctness dominating many campuses and classrooms is literally inculcating “pathological thinking” in students.

In one groundbreaking chapter (“Chaos Theory”), the book even shows how the Alinsky-left persuasion techniques employed in the Age of Obama literally mimic classic wartime brainwashing – though in very slow motion.

Ironically, as Kupelian documents, the political and cultural left, continually claiming to be champions and defenders of society’s “victimized” classes (blacks, women, students, gays, Hispanics, “migrants”), turns out to be the greatest victimizer of all.

Living in a society dominated by a lawless government and godless culture has, unfortunately, borne bitter fruit, says Kupelian, as the statistics confirm:

In a nation of 325 million men, women and children, more than 130 million Americans are now dependent on mind-altering substances just to get through life; a staggering 1 in 4 middle-aged American women is taking antidepressants, 1 in 5 high-schoolers diagnosed with ADHD and 1 in 10 girls reportedly engages in “cutting” their bodies with a knife or razor. Pornography addiction is pandemic, and an astonishing 110 million Americans currently have a sexually transmitted disease. And Americans are increasingly unhealthy: One in 3 adults is clinically obese, as are more than 1 in 6 of the nation’s youths; and suicide has surpassed car crashes as the leading cause of injury death for Americans.

Surveying this growing chaos and suffering in American society, Kupelian exposes both the utopian revolutionaries and their extraordinary methods that have turned America’s most cherished values literally upside-down – to the point that today, in America, madness is celebrated and normality demonized.
