LGBT ACTIVISTS PUSING FOR GAY CLUBS IN MIDDLE SCHOOLS

If you ever wonder why more parents are moving their kids to charter schools or even home schooling the following may be why. I always thought the mission of public schools was to prepare children for success with the necessary academic skills, but unfortunately the teachers unions and some special interest groups don’t see it that way.

Instead they see our schools as the breeding ground for their respective agendas.

And so a hat tip to our cohort LTC (Ret) Dr. Rich Swier who writes, “The homosexual-transgender movement is working hard to indoctrinate schoolchildren as young as possible. By far, the most effective way is to get them into school-based “gay” clubs that are run by activist, often radical, adults, but though otherwise unsupervised. They have been working at this for several years, but are now ramping up their efforts considerably.

Swier reported last week on this year’s annual Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) Conference in Boston which brought together LGBT teachers, activists, and supportive administrators to discuss their latest tactics for the schools. A prominent part covered strategies for setting up “gay-straight alliance” (GSA) clubs in as many middle schools as possible, given that most high schools now have them.

Silly me, what ever happened to the three Rs; reading, ‘riting, and ‘rithmetic? I guess this is how we get those test scores to be more competitive against the rest of the world.

Just one simple point — can you imagine if there was a conference of Christians that brought together teachers, activists, and supportive administrators to promote “Christian clubs” in schools? Oh yeah, I can hear it now: the separation of church and state diatribe. So why is there not a greater outrage over the GLSEN conference? Riiight, it’s trendy and culturally acceptable to be gay — but that whole Christian thing? Archaic and antiquated. Being a Christian is mean and intolerant. Being gay is loving and tolerant – except when it comes to those brothers and the cancellation of their show on HGTV because of the loving and tolerant gay community.

Swier reports that middle schools are such an important target that GLSEN recruited an activist “LGBT” middle school student to address the conference’s opening session. She said she’s bisexual (in middle school!) and that her sister is lesbian. The girl spoke about how she helped organize the “Day of Silence” in her middle school.

She said one teacher was reluctant to put up the posters because of parent conferences that evening, saying parents might not be comfortable seeing it. The girl labeled the teacher “ignorant” and said the teacher is “no longer working at the school” (which brought a cheer).

Here’s yet another example of that tolerance thing, and it looks like that loving sense of acceptance of other views is being ingrained at an early age in the LGBT community. How wonderful, everyone is so proud of this young lady — who promoted a “Day of Silence” — when a Christian middle school student would be lambasted for requesting a “Moment of Prayer.” But then again, those Christians are mean and archaic, and their prayers are probably hate-filled.

The middle school student added that “kids are figuring out who they are younger than ever” (i.e., being persuaded to self-identify as L, G, B, or T) and that “we need to create a safe environment for them in the lower grades.” This was a mantra that was repeated again and again in the conference.

By the way, “safe environment” is the Orwellian term for a school that aggressively enforces pro-”LGBT” sexual ideology and suppresses all dissent. Given that middle school students wouldn’t have these ideas and talking points on their own, it shows how well the adult activists instruct them.

In middle school, I had a hard time figuring out whether I would survive playing both sides of the ball. I was focused on making good grades, not my sexual behavior. Darn good thing I had teachers and coaches that kept me focused – but I guess that’s not the case now. It seems our young kids are being recruited for something other than the science fair!

Here we are sitting around thinking our kids are going to school to get an academic education, when in reality they’re just lab rats in an indoctrination test tube. The sustainable approach for the gay community — since reproduction requires outside assistance– is one of recruitment and indoctrination — right in our faces.

School is about education, not indoctrination. It’s my responsibility as a parent to teach values and behavior to my children. It is because of foolishness like this that my girls attended faith-based schools.

Shame on the GLSEN supporters and this conference for seeking to steal away the responsibility of American parents. Shame on some of us for allowing this to happen. That middle school girl who castigated her teacher as “ignorant” and had her fired it seems — well, she’s the next generation that will cause a CEO, like Brendan Eich, to be fired for his personal beliefs.

Welcome to the new intolerant, fascist, radical America.
