Families toss wrench in 'gay' indoctrination plan
Bob Unruh - WND
Family leaders in California have thrown a wrench in the public school system's newest "gay" indoctrination plan, with the filing of the paperwork for a referendum on SB48, approved by the Democrats in the legislature and signed by Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat, in recent days.
An official with one of the organizations working on the plan, Brad Dacus of Pacific Justice Institute, told WND the filing puts the law on hold until it is determined whether Californians want to vote on the plan.
"We have been seeing a groundswell of opposition to the enactment of SB48, and now it is time to act," Dacus said. "We encourage everyone to visit StopSB48.com to learn more and join the coalition.
"This effort will require us all to sacrifice and work together. We cannot afford to stay silent or stand on the sidelines. Californians are extremely tolerant, but we draw the line when history is revised to please a special interest group," he said.

Karen England of Capitol Resource Family Impact, who is working with the coalition on the referendum, said, "Gov. Brown refused to listen to the calls of pro-family voters asking him to veto SB48. The bill costs too much and it goes too far. He ignored the majority in our state who object to the implementation of this controversial, objectionable, and poor public school policy. The people of the state want a vote on SB48. CRFI encourages everyone to join the fight in stopping SB48."
