I’m excited to offer a new way you can help us fight against Planned Parenthood. I have told you of their willingness to slaughter innocent newborns birthed alive only to be dissected to sell their organs for a profit. Today we are launching a petition to demand protections for these little babies.

I hope you will add your name immediately and help us spread the word across America. I need friends and patriots who will rise up and demand that Planned Parenthood face justice! Will you join this growing movement? - Mat

Patrick,

I want to encourage you. These past few weeks have been dark, fighting against the evil we’ve found in Planned Parenthood. But as a pastor, I believe the story of Elijah has a powerful application to us today.

You probably already know the story. Israel’s King Ahab started worshiping Baal, which demanded child sacrifice of the first-born male. Elijah presents himself in front of this wicked king and says neither dew nor rain will happen until he gives the word. And it didn’t ... for three and a half years.

Lessons from Elijah

Elijah’s actions took incredibly deep courage! He stood up to one of the most powerful people in his world and spoke the truth—even when it wasn’t welcome. And Elijah’s courage had real consequences. His obedience put him on the run for the next 1,200 days.

Elijah placed his reputation, and even his life, on the line in obedience to God. He challenged the king and more than 700 fake prophets. He even tried to do something impossible (having a sacrifice, wood, and stones consumed with fire out of nowhere when it was soaking wet). And God rewarded his faith, miraculously.

But if Elijah hadn’t stepped out in faith, Israel would have continued worshiping Ball and offering up child sacrifices. It took the courage and faith of just one man to bring an entire nation back to God.

It is easy to look back, knowing how the story ends, but had God not answered his prayer he would have been slaughtered because he confronted the king, the false prophets, and the culture. All while wasting precious water during a time of an extended drought.

But Elijah is no different than you or me.

The Book of James says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Elijah was a person just like us, and he prayed earnestly.” (James 5:16b-17a)

We all want a miracle to restore our nation, but few want to put themselves in the position of depending on one.

But that is exactly where my client, Sandra Merritt, is right now.

She is sitting before a jury in the most liberal city in America, under a judge with deep ties to Planned Parenthood who is censoring the trial’s content, while she faces millions of dollars in “damages” requested by Planned Parenthood, and they have 60 witnesses lined up to tell that jury why they should get it.

It is easy to want a miracle; it’s hard to be in the position to need one.

The Born-Alive Act is nearly in the same position as Sandra. Democrats are hardening their hearts to the truth, and, as of yet, refusing to change their votes on this bill. That is why today we are launching our new Born-Alive petition to give everyone the ability to demand action from our legislators.

I hope you will join me—first in earnest prayer. That kind of prayer saved one nation so long ago and I believe it can save ours as well.

Then I urge you to please take a few seconds to put feet on your faith and add your name to our petition. We already have a plan to share it directly with these legislators and with leadership in the U.S. House and Senate. And I hope you will stand up with Sandra and me to protect these little babies.

Seven times Elijah sent his servant up the mountain to see if rain was coming. And seven times the servant brought back news of only an empty sky. But still Elijah didn’t give up and that servant’s eighth trip brought news of a storm cloud coming.

At LCA we are seeking to have the same perseverance as Elijah, not just to fight the easy battles in fair weather but to bow in prayer and to rise in faith to fight for these little children. To continue to do this, we need friends to come alongside us and share two ingredients with us. We ask for your prayers and we ask for your support.

If you can become a monthly donor of 25, 50, or 100 dollars, that empowers us to continue to speak truth to the powers on Capitol Hill and work to end the evil of Planned Parenthood.  Even if you can give a one-time donation right now, it would be greatly appreciated as we continue in this battle.

Evil is not new, and it does not take God by surprise.

But I want to leave you one final encouragement from 2 Cor. 16:8b-9a. “When you relied on the LORD, he delivered them into your hand. For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”

In earnest prayer,

Mat Staver

Chairman

P.S. It can take just one person, who is completely obedient to God, to prayerfully restore a whole nation. I urge you to pray for our nation and get involved. Help us end this evil of infanticide in America. Sign our petition to pass the Born-Alive Act. Then send a fax today to urge Congress to immediately protect these newborns.

If you are able to, please donate. Your support bolsters our team in our fight for these lives. Then help us spread the word about the dangerous blockade against this bill by forwarding this email to your friends.
