Subject: [WETHEPEOPLE_UNITED] THE DRUG DELUSION

Of all the life-destroying illusions of our age, the drug delusion stands atop the heap.  In the influence it exercises over humankind nothing can compare with it.  Colossal in scope, it imposes itself upon us with all the preemptive rights which hoary age and long public acceptance can bestow, and possesses all the strength a fallacy can muster from having occupied, with little or no opposition, the position which Truth and Truth alone should frequent.  Drugs are credited with benefits that are spurious and wholly the figment of unthinking acceptance of appearances.  Only Truth and the applications that it decrees can confer upon mankind the salvation it so desperately seeks.  Disabusing Populace of Drug Fictions a Formidable Task- Myths and illusions die a slow, hard death.  The delusion about drugs is well-nigh universal.  The peoples of the world affirm the delusion and acknowledge fealty to it.  The greater the fallacy th more sacred the affirmation.  The more destitute of truth a delusion is, the deeper the affection shown for it, and the more set people seem to be to maintain practices based upon the illusion.
Because the drug delusion is so easily demonstrated and proven to be poor and flimsy fiction, the practice of drug medication would seem an easy target to destroy.  It would seem to be an easy delusion to unmask.  It would seem to be a simple matter to make evident its multitude of evils and its utter lack of a SINGLE redeeming feature.  Drug Delusion Sustained By Those Looking For the Magic of "Cure" - Because humans insist in indulging perverted practices and refuse to recog-zize to be the results of their flaunting the laws of life - because they believe that the human body, like mechanical contrivances can be "repaired," because they believe that they have been invaded by devils of some sort, germs, viruses, or evil spirits, they believe in the voodoo of exorcism through drugs.  They believe that drugs have some magic qualities to seek out trouble spots, rout invaders, and make things right again.

Whoever thinks that it is easy to uproot such widely held delusions, so easily demonstrated to be fallacious, has greatly misjudged the minds which choose to cling to  their superstitions in the face of all facts and reasons.  The power of the drug delusion is protected by ignorance, depravity, and the wish for easy deliverance from the effect of transgressions.  It is of the same warp and woof as "forgiveness of sins" and dispensation.  The delusion is not only firmly embedded in the minds of most of us but has achieved dignity by being embedded in our education-al system and being given the revered support of "science."  Drug Delusion Embedded in Our Economic System - A monstrous industry, our second largest, involving some $200 billion per annum, is built around the drug and allied delusions.  Americans are pitifully exploited for adherence to such absurd beliefs, not only economically, but, more tragically, physically.  The drug delusion is protected by billions upon billions of wealth.

An industry, be it tobacco, alcohol, drug, or other, is not about to suffer the loss of a single bit of business even if the business is based on glaring absurdities and superstitions.  It defends the errors upon which it is based as if they were sterling truths enshrined in the temple of heaven. Falsehood could not ask for greater security nor a better guarantee of survival. But the whole fabric of the drug delusion depends upon a solid base - believers, those who subscribe to it and slavishly pay homage to it with their self and pelf.  If the minds that embrace the drug delusion could be enlightened, the base upon which it is built, a MASSIVE structure, crumbles away and dies a much DESERVED death.  Fostering The Drug Delusion - To sustain the drug system its beneficiaries teach people not to be concerned about their ways of life.  They pervert the moral sense of humans just as they themselves are perverted.

They appeal to us on the basis of our simple perver-sions with a promise, direct ir implied, that we can be given dispensation for the results.  Go ahead and indulge in all the CAUSES of disease and suffering.  We'll give you relief.  Don't worry about transgressions against your body, the Temple of Your Life.  We'll cure the results with a dose of this or that, and you will be on your merry way.  This is the substance of the drug delusion.  It was born of the hocus pocus of voodooism and voodooism it STILL remains. The medical profession hasn't "cured" one ailment since its inception. It hasn't even cured such a  simple malady as the common cold.  It doesn't even know what a cold is.  What the profession and the huge industries allied with it have cured is their public relations problems. They have solved this problem so well they can, in truth, commit mass murder, ascribe the results to disease, and not even be held responsible for having dne anything wrong. Oh yes, now some are being cited for "mal-practice and this is another obstacle to be overcome.  And such a gigantic swindle is bound to come up with exemptions for itself as it is in practical control of our legal machinery.

The truth is that medical and drug practice is malpractice from start to finish and all the legal sanc-tity in the world cannot make it true and right. Drug Delusion An Outgrowth Of Popular Bad Habits - The falsehood about the messianic qualitites of drugs is based squarely upon the idea that our life habits have absolutely nothing to do with the suffering we endure from the demons of dis-ease.  The falsehood that we can do as we like and be "forgiven" or "repaired" if the results are bad is responsible for the currency of the drug delusion.  The deceivers are the foremost supporters of the victims in their bad habits.  "Come into my Parlor," said the Spider to the Fly." So long as the habits of the victims of such teachings are in accord with the teachings of the deceivers, no considerations that involve truth and the happy life begotten of embracing it can hope to prevail. The att-empt to convince such victims of the incorrectness of their ways is to throw away muchtime and greatly misspent talent.

People do not admit to themselves or to others that they are ever wrong, no matter how outrageous their views and practices may be in the light of simple reason. Basics Of The Fallacy - The drug delusion consists primarily in accepting as true the fallacy that the human organism is constituted on such a plan, and is subject to such laws as make it possible for great benefit to accrue to the sick individual from taking, as "medicine," substances which, in health, are NOT necessary.  Everyone knows that drugs will make a person in health quite sick.  The successfully fostered delusion is that drugs which will make a well person sick will, if administered when the person is sick, restore health.  Was not Dr. James C. Jackson the oracle of insight when he ob-served: "Is it not as monstrous in the sphere of physical life to tell a man in health that what will make him sick when will, will make him well when sick, as it is in the sphere of moral life of men to ay that what will make a holy man unholy, will make a depraved man pure?"

Under All Conditions, Poisons Are Poisonous - There is a deadly and irrepressible antagonism between vital instincts of the living body and poisons.  The antagonism of the living organism to the presence of poisons is absolute and NOT relative. This antagonism is not circumstantial.   That is, it makes no difference by whom or how poisons are given, nor at what time of day or night they are administered, to whom they are given, or the condition of the person taking them - the poisonous character of medicines is not affected by the circumstances.  As soon as the drug is taken the powers of life, such as they may be, devote themselves to expelling it from the body.  How The Organism Treats Drugs In The Body - Drugs, or medicines, if you will, are said to be laxative, antibiotic, tranquilizer, antidepressant, stimulant, steroid, emetic, cathartic, or have other such properties.  Let it be distinctly understood that these describe BODY reaction to drugs and are NOT the properties of the drugs themselves.  DRUGS DO NOT ACT.

They have only the capability of making chemical combinations that interfere with or destroy vital body processes.  All the actions are those of the living organism.  If drugs acted in the human body they would act in dead people as well as living ones!  It is the bowel that expels its contents and with it the poisonous laxative, for this is the avenue of expulsion the body selects for medicines called "laxatives."  It is the body that musters the resources to vomit, and NOT the emetic given.  Thus, no matter what the standing of those who ad-minister drugs, be it even a physician of the highest professional esteem, the organism abhors the drugs and initiates the actions of protection and expulsion.  The actions of the body are mistaken for the actions of the POISON itself. A whole so-called science - that of pharmacology - has been erected upon the drug delusion.   By changing the general name of drug substances and calling them "medicines," ictims' qualms are allayed and the pharmacologic and treating professions imagine that they are scientific.  Large tomes are published setting forth the alleged actions of an armamentarium of medicines.

Medical studies are obliged to spend years studying about actions that never take place because the very things that are supposed to be medicinal actions are, in fact, body defensive measures. Drugs are INERT and LIFELESS without any SEMBLANCE of intelligence.  Mere chemicals can never usurp, correct, and direct LIVING functions.  A Rose By Any Other Name - Scientific?  Was charlatanism ever more errant?  Was ever professional egotism more unpleasantly exhibited?  A poison - a substance of which the regular effects upon the human body injurious and deadly - is to have its relationship to the body changed by the simple expedient of calling it a "medicine."  By this hocus pocus it changes its very nature from a death-dealing agent to that of a life-restoring substance.  Was ever superstition more absurd?  Humans Learn Slowly If At All - The whole practice of giving poisons under the guise of medicines to "cure" disease is an outrageupon the human body.  It deserves to be roundly condemned.  So monstrous is this outrage upon the living being that nothing can excuse or condone the practice of DRUGGING.

Surely, after three thousand years of drugging the bodies of the sick, there should be some physicians who defend the practice that can tell us why and how their drugs "cure" disease.  Of course, the victims do not question the physicians they patronize, for they are in awe before the "dispensers" of instant relief."  The exploiters of human credulity appreciate a god-like aura. Is it not high time that the physicians came out of their citadel of secrecy and  inscrutability and tell us why they give to tender human infants and feeble people vile substances that would have surely prostrated Hercules or Goliath?  Is it not time they told us why the killative substances administered in the name of medicine are required to restore health?  Does not every pur-veyor of a product have the obligation to inform the user how and why it works?

Feeling Better Quickly a Basis of the Delusion - It does not matter that the person taking a poison called medicine may feel better for it.  Opium and marijuana users among other drug takers feel better. The coffee drinker feels better after coffee; the nervous woman feels better after her tea; the headache sufferer feels better after aspirin, the disturbed individual feels better after a tranquilizer, the weak individual feels warm after a drink of alcohol.  All of this feeling of improvement is tot-ally and COMPLETELY illusory.  Both the subject and the observers are deluded by such fictional improvements.  But the physician who has studied poisons for much of his life should not be so easily deluded!  Either the physician is a total ignoramus or he is a FRAUD.  The physician should be well aware that the excitement occasioned by the administration of tonics and stimulants does not spring from a fountain of energy possessed by the stiulant or tonics imparted instantly to the user.

Every physician should know that the strength and energy exhibited upon taking tonics and stimul-ants represent a draft upon the reserves of the body, that, rather than giving energy and strength, the substances cause the body to summon its few remaining resources to EXPEL the offenders.  App-earances can be deceptive if they are not understood.  Every physician should know that the stupor, comas, and unconsciousness that he induces by the administration of hypnotic drugs is not really sleep at all but destruction of the powers and capacity of the body.  Every physician should know that sedation is not rest and that tranquilization is NOT poise.  Physicians should know that anodynes do not free patients of suffering but only render them incapable of sensing it.

All of the above cited effects of drugs are their poison effects.  None is restorative of health.  Patients may be fooled, but the physician, of all people, SHOULD know better.   IT'S A CASE OF THE BLIND LEADING THE BLINDED. Do Drugs Save Lives? The common view is that deadly drugs serve a life-saving end.  It would seem apparent that lives have been saved by the drug penicillin.  Blood transfusions are credited with countless lives saved. Intravenous feeding is credited with life-saving virtues.  Compiled statistics by the defenders of these practices would seem to bear out these contentions.  But if their reasoning is followed to its logical end - if their premises are examined and the alternatives considered, their arguments land in a quaking bond that quickly swallows them up.  The Duty Of All Thinking People - The consistent failure of the drugging system is easily more apparent to thinking individuals than any success.&bsp; Visionary individuals must find ways to vanquish the voodooistic practices of administering death-dealing substances to living organisms.  Despite popular knowledge that drugs are in fact poisons and guarded in pharmacies by legal stipulation, they are under the delusion that, taken in the prescribed manner,

these same poisons can somehow remedy morbid states of the body.  In precisely the ration one believes in the efficacy of poisons for restoring  health,  one  distrusts  the  inherent powers of the organism for restoring itself to health.  In that ration the deluded do not trust the normal elements of health to keep or restore health.  But a new era is dawning.  More than 10% of Americans are free of medical delusions and will not patronize them.  Some physicians are deserting the profession despite its lucrativeness.  Com  ing is the day when the brilliant light of truth will shine upon all and, in retrospect, today's medical drugging will be regarded in the same way we presently regard primitive voodooism, witch doctoring, and exorcism.  Coming is the day when the simple ways of health will be observed by all such that the human race will rise to realize its glorious potential.  Help speed the day.
