POMONA - Authorities say a high-ranking member of a Pomona gang with ties to the Crips and his girlfriend, a Los Angeles County probation officer, are among the suspects arrested in an investigation targeting gang activity in east Los Angeles County.

The U.S. attorney's office announced Monday that Jerron Johns, of San Bernardino, and his girlfriend Crystal Dillard have been arrested on narcotics charges.

State and federal agents arrested another 10 suspects Monday morning in an operation in connection with the investigation, and another nine are being sought.

Among those still being sought is 37-year-old Raymond King, whom authorities believe is the main source of crack cocaine in Pomona.

King and Johns face potential sentences of life without parole because of their prior drug-related convictions.
