The recent cold-blooded murder of Idaho Rancher Jack Yantis has gotten a lot of deserved attention in the past week. This morning, LibertyFight.com broke the story revealing that the Idaho Sheriff's Dept. That Slaughtered Rancher Jack Yantis Was Trained by the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security

The local Adams County, Idaho Sheriff Ryan Zollman, whose officers slaughtered Yantis, in the past has tried to portray himself as a 'patriot' pro 2nd Amendment type. But you can be the judge on this one.

LibertyFight.com has uncovered official records from local Council, Idaho government meetings revealing that Sheriff Ryan Zollman justifies not only the seizure of local Idaho residents guns, but the sale of those guns. So much so that the spent a lot of time developing official policy and procedures on the matter. In the minutes of the council meetings, Zollman is heard dismissing the matter despite serious concern from local leaders who had mistakenly sold a local man's gun after seizing it.

In 2013, Zollman was one of four Sheriffs who attended a 'patriot pro-2nd Amendment meeting' where he got cheers from the crowd, basically saying he would buck the feds and not accept infringements on gun rights by the federal government. But we will show you below, public records from local council meetings where Sheriff Zollman discusses his seizure and sales of citizens guns, including money that was used to 'pay fines' that the citizen allegedly owes. In at least one case, other Sheriffs scrambled to buy a seized gun back after mistakenly selling it.

"I have a lot of guns and I'm not giving them up... I will not allow any information to be shared regarding weapons possessed or held by my office," says Zollman.

[In the February 27, 2013 news article Gunning for a Fight - Idaho lawman: "We, as sheriffs, have to decide upon ourselves if laws are unconstitutional.", Zollman is quoted as a stalwart defender of gun rights:]

"Another of Obama's executive orders that would make "relevant data available to the federal background check system," took another verbal beating from each of the sheriffs. "My name would be on that list that they would want because I have a lot of guns and I'm not giving them up," said Zollman, the newly elected sheriff of mostly rural Adams County. "I can tell you all here tonight that I will not allow any information to be shared regarding weapons possessed or held by my office."

This city council meeting shown below is starkly different from the 'pro gun' PR stunt shown above. [I have to wonder if Zolmmman and his cohorts collected names and addresses from attendees of the pro gun meeting?] The council meeting below outlined several problems and mistakes relating to GUN SEIZURES. They even had to change their policy and prevent the Adams County Sheriff from keeping the seized guns, and instead gave that authority to the Dept. of Fish and Game. They explained how the "Sheriff's office needed to consider establishing a better procedure when selling seized weapons to make the process more transparent and fix some glitches... the gun should not be sold right away... the Department of Fish and Game will now be holding seized evidence instead of the local Sheriff's Office."

"Ryan Zollman informed the Board that when the last gun was seized, the clerk's office sent an email to the Sheriff's Office that the gun was sold, meaning better communication has been established already. UnderSheriff Richard Borger read an email from Cody Sampson on how the gun deal went down due to not knowing if the payment was for the gun or for the fines the person had."
