What’s Happening:

Plenty of attention has been paid to the Supreme Court this year. And they are posed to have a big impact on the country before the year is through.

One of the justices rarely discussed is conservative Samuel Alito. Although not in the limelight often, he is nearly as conservative as Clarence Thomas.

But in recent days, he’s getting more vocal. And he is voicing his concern over the country’s most important freedoms:

Religious liberty and free speech are among Americans’ personal freedoms potentially imperiled along with government overreach during the coronavirus pandemic, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito warned Thursday.

“Tolerance for opposing views is now in short supply,” Alito added in a virtual keynote speech to a conference of the conservative Federalist Society, in which he referenced the current state of discourse in the nation’s law schools and the “broader academic community.”

During a keynote speech, Alito warned of the growing trend attacking free speech and religious liberty.

Alito is just as aware of the many times our First Amendment freedoms have been violating in recent years. You have to be living under a rock to not know about how leftist institutions have tried to censor Americans.

Or how time and again, radical groups go after Christian or religious organizations. Not to mention how Democrats shut down churches over the pandemic.

Alito believes that in the coming years, these freedoms will become front and center in many court battles. The Supreme Court will be asked to weigh in on these issues, as they often do.

The justice urged his listeners to defend these freedoms as forces conspire to rob them of them.

The SCOTUS might play a role in protecting First Amendment from destruction, but they can’t do it alone.

Every American that cherishes their free speech and freedom of religion must stand up for them. They cannot allow anyone, especially the left, rob us of these rights.

After all, many died to give them to us. And we’ll die before we lose them.

Will you stand up for the Constitution with Justice Alito?
