Clerk reveals this about Judge Amy Coney Barrett

A political opponent of Judge Amy Coney Barrett has made this surprising statement about her nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Her fellow clerk said:

I disagree with much of her (Barrett's) judicial philosophy ... Yet despite this disagreement, I know her to be a brilliant and conscientious lawyer who will analyze and decide cases in good faith, applying the jurisprudential principles to which she is committed. Those are the basic criteria for being a good justice. Barrett meets and exceeds them...

Of the thirty-some clerks that year [1998-99 term], all of whom had graduated at the top of their law school classes and done prestigious appellate clerkships before coming to work at the court, Barrett stood out. Measured subjectively and unscientifically by pure legal acumen, she was one of the two strongest lawyers (the other is currently Dean at Stanford Law).

We have the opportunity right now to confirm an excellent, qualified woman who is above reproach as a constitutionalist to the U.S. Supreme Court! But several critical Republican senators are dragging their feet. Make your voice heard with an urgent fax demanding that the Senate act now. - Mat

I sent out a critical update on Monday. In case you missed it, I have included it below:

I have prayed for decades that I would see the overturn of Roe v. Wade. Right now, you and I may be on the cusp of seeing this vision become reality. We are living in exciting times. Over the weekend, President Trump nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to be the next U.S. Supreme Court Justice.

However, radicals in D.C. have put enough pressure on Republicans so that many senators have qualified their “support” for Judge Barrett with an easy out.

They are saying they will vote based “on the qualifications.” This means that the confirmation hearing is still very much up in the air. Below I’ll explain which important cases are headed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

I encourage you to not let this moment slip by. Greet the senators' return on Monday with a flood of faxes this weekend. Fax to urge them to move forward with Judge Barrett’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.

There are many reasons we urgently need a ninth Justice on the Supreme Court. The first and foremost reason is to break potential ties, especially regarding the results of a very contentious election.

But there are many other reasons we need Amy Coney Barrett on the Court.

One of the most intense battles before the Supreme Court this fall will determine the future of many foster children. In Fulton v. Philadelphia, the Court will consider if a city can force a religious adoption agency to place innocent, even religious children into LGBT homes. Even when this is in direct opposition to the core values of the organization and the religious principles of its leadership.

The lower court claimed the city can force the Catholic adoption agency to actively support LGBT conduct. So, if there is a split ruling at the U.S. Supreme Court, this devastating lower court ruling would stand and shut down countless faith-based adoption agencies in America. This would leave innocent children abandoned within the foster system.

You can take a stand right now to ensure that we have nine Justices on the Supreme Court. Send your fax to the U.S. Senate demanding a fair and delay-free confirmation.

Several major cases will be heard this fall at the Supreme Court. One case involves a Catholic Charities adoption and foster care ministry. The state is trying to force the Catholic ministry to place children with homosexual and same-sex parents. If forced to do so, this worthy ministry will cease to exist.

Two more pending cases are fighting government demands to publicly disclose the names and addresses of donors to California groups. Many conservative groups in California saw their donors exposed and some people even lost their jobs because they donated to a conservative cause. This case will likely be a blockbuster case on religious freedom. The impact of the ruling is huge.

The Supreme Court will also be considering which portion of Obamacare will be enforced moving forward.

Our case involving Kim Davis is pending before the High Court. She is the Kentucky clerk who refused to endorse same-sex "marriage."

This week I am filing a petition before the Supreme Court on behalf of two Romanian churches in Illinois that have been persecuted by the lesbian mayor of Chicago and the pro-abortion Governor J.B. Pritzker.

And one of our counseling cases will likely end up at the Supreme Court.

We need this vacant seat filled now with a Justice who respects the Constitution!

For any of these cases, the next Supreme Court Justice could very well be the deciding vote. It is critical to have a fully staffed court of nine to address these complex and far-reaching problems.

I urge you to make your voice heard regarding the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett. Send your fax to the Senate now demanding a fair and delay-free trial.

Already, radicals are discussing “packing the court” if they win the White House by adding new liberal justices to outnumber the coming conservative majority. Even presidential candidate Joe Biden refuses to rule it out.

Other radicals have introduced a bill in the U.S. House to significantly (and unconstitutionally) limit the power of the U.S. Supreme Court through term limits of 18 or fewer years for the Justices.

This is just the start of the attacks on Judge Amy Coney Barrett. I encourage you to not let her face these attacks alone. Make your voice heard now in her support with a fax to the Senate today.

Our Liberty Counsel Action staff members on Capitol Hill are working closely with our contacts and members of the Senate to support this confirmation process. But we can only fight because of your donations.

With the Lord’s help, and yours, we can win the battle set before us today. I ask you to support Liberty Counsel Action with your best possible donation to help us educate our leaders on the importance of boldly moving forward now.

Thank you for standing with us and joining the battle to fight for the future of our nation.

Onward,

Mat Staver

Chairman

P.S. The Senate needs to hear from you right now to move forward confidently. Send your faxes to the Senate urging them to take action.

Then sign our petition to both the President and Vice President encouraging them at this critical time.

Our adversaries are flush with tens of millions of dollars that were instantly raised following the Supreme Court vacancy. But we have a powerful God who can use what you can give to help fight this critical battle. Please support our ministry with your best gift possible to help us win at the Supreme Court. God bless.
