What’s Happening:

Since Election Day, President Trump and his legal team have battled to protect our election integrity.

They are fighting to ensure our democracy is not taken over by fraud or wrongdoing. To that end, they (and many other Republicans) have brought numerous cases to court.

Some of those cases have not worked out in their favor, as various state-level judges (Democrat appointees) have chosen to uphold unconstitutional rules.

But the story is far from over. Supreme Court Justice Alito has just made a decision on a crucial case.

And it affects the major swing state of Pennsylvania. From Fox News:

U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., ordered Pennsylvania officials to respond to Rep. Mike Kelly’s election challenge a day earlier than previously scheduled, which will be on the same day known as the safe harbor deadline.

Alito moved Kelly’s case up 24 hours and wants state officials to respond by 9 a.m. on Tuesday…

Kelly, a Republican from Butler, Pa., wants the courts to rule that more than 2.5 million mail-in ballots are tossed, which would all but secure a victory for President Trump in the Keystone State because a vote would be taken in the state’s Republican-controlled Legislature.

Justice Alito moved up the case concerning Pennsylvania’s 2.5 million mailed-in ballots. Previously, the deadline was a day after the “safe harbor” deadline, which put the battle in murky waters.

Now, the state has to respond before the state legislature votes to award electors. Which gives Trump a good chance at securing the state.

Republican Mike Kelly is arguing that the 2.5 million mail-ballots should be tossed out because they violated the state’s own constitution. It would have taken a constitutional amendment to allow universal, no-excuse mail-in ballots.

Instead, the state’s election officials changed the rules, ignoring Pennsylvania law. Kelly is arguing that those ballots cannot be counted.

Throwing them out could give Trump a clear win—and obligate the state’s Republican-controlled legislature no choice but to award him the electoral votes.

Similar battles are being waged in other swing states. Most of them have Republican-controlled legislatures that need to be convinced that fraud and other “irregularities” gave Biden an apparent win.

But, when you account for those “errors” removing problematic ballots, Trump could have a victory in these states.

Trump’s legal team has been holding hearings in various states to present evidence. It looks like court decisions and the ruling of state legislatures could ultimately decide the fate of the election.

Do you want Trump to keep fighting—or give up?

Key Takeaways:

  • Justice Alito moved up the deadline for an election case in Pennsylvania.
  • The changed deadline falls on the same day as the “safe harbor” deadline.
  • Republicans want the court to throw our 2.5 million ballots they deem unconstitutional.
