Look Carefully! Under the Ice and Snow is a Cow
ce froze on all the cattle including the live calves. It changed so violently to snow that most of the calves were buried, but it was shallow enough that they could breathe. All but 2 calves survived, and all the cows lived. The ice froze so hard on the cows, that when they moved it pulled all of their hair out. We had 300 naked cows. I can't imagine how we got through it. (Lee, Wyoming cattle rancher)
