Feb 4, 2015 — NOAA just announced a huge step forward for Lolita. She will be covered under the Endangered Species Act! It remains to be seen exactly how this will affect Lolita's future in captivity, but progress is being made thanks to you!

It took us all to make this happen, everyone of you that contributed money, items, protested for Lolita last month in Miami or in your hometown, or supported Howard Garrett and all his efforts to bring her home. The organizations that have had lawyers fighting for her including PETA, ALDF, and WDC have been incredible. Media and newspapers that covered the March and made her national news and brought the NOAA into the public eye for this decision was also part of this progress.

This decision marks the beginning of a new humanity for cetaceans in this country.

Lolita will be back home in the wild, have no doubt! They cannot leave her in an illegal tank, they cannot send her out of the country, and they cannot continue to use her to make money off her back.

These lawyers are ready to get her home and they will! I feel blessed in this moment to have had a part. I am hoping that you are all empowered to what we can do if we stand together, march together, fight together! We have a lot more captives to free! No letting up until all are free!

I will keep you updated.
