The last century was devastating for wildlife, including tigers. The population of tigers in the wild plummeted. Most of their habitat was destroyed, degraded and fragmented. And every part of this majestic cat—from whisker to tail—is traded in illegal wildlife markets.

At WWF, we have hope for their future. With your support, we can save tigers, and so many other species and wild places around the world. If we all work together, day after day, we can make a huge difference.

Thanks to support from people like you, we are fighting to minimize destruction to habitats, work closely with local communities and protect amazing species, like tigers and so many others. Our experts and partners are making great progress toward our goals, including doubling the number of tigers in the wild by 2022. In Nepal, we have been supporting rangers and protected areas for decades. And this past March, Nepal—whose tiger population has increased—celebrated a second year with zero tiger poaching.

This is our mission around the world: to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth.

We're using the best available science to connect fragmented habitats and coordinating with partners to manage areas where tigers and other wildlife live. We work with locals in the field to train wildlife rangers and law-enforcement personnel. We use camera traps, DNA and state-of-the-art technology and software to count tigers and reduce wildlife crime.

With your help, we can make a difference for tigers, other species and wild places around the world.
