I have great news to share with you: a federal court -- siding with NRDC and our partners -- has ruled that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service violated the law in 2012 when it stripped Wyoming’s wolves of their endangered species protections.

Federal protections have now been restored to all wolves in Wyoming!

This is a huge victory in our long-running legal battle to end the senseless slaughter of Wyoming’s wolves -- and we have NRDC Members and activists like you to thank.

You stood with us every step of the way, deluging the Obama Administration with messages of opposition to Wyoming’s attack on wolves and generously supporting our fight in federal court.

Under Wyoming’s wolf “management plan,” it merely had to maintain a bare minimum number of wolves -- and wolves could be shot on sight across most of the state.

This week’s federal court ruling will halt this unconscionable killing of wolves until the state puts forth a credible plan for protecting them.

But make no mistake: while the court’s decision is an essential first step, our fight for wolf survival is far from over.

NRDC will be keeping the pressure on to make sure that Wyoming follows through with a new plan that will grant wolves the critical protections they need to thrive over the long term. And we’ll be counting on your help in the crucial months ahead.

In the meantime, thank you for making this amazing victory possible.

VICTORY FOR WYOMING'S WOLVES!

You helped save wolves

Sincerely,

Frances
