Wild horses and burros are the "living symbol" of the American spirit. Strong survivors that live in harsh country, they exist in peaceful family structures as they roam on about 11% of our Wesren landscape.
Yet those that want the grazing land set aside for our amazing symbol of freedom have mounted an ever increasing attack on our wild horses.
Right now we need you to make a stand for the wild horses in Utah's Bible Springs Complex. A vicious propaganda war has been munted by County Commissioners and Utah's Governor in this election year. The area is filled with voters that support the livestock industry. Governor Herbert has said that wild horses must be removed to manage the land for livestock. Litigation has been filed by the ranchers, supported by the County Commissions, against the BLM to remove wild horses. The BLM has created a plan to comply with the mounting pressure. That plan is open for public commment and we need you to speak out today.
This action in Utah has come on the heels of the Nevada Association of Counties (NACO) suit against BLM aimed at destroying Nevada's wild horses. We have filed and gained the right to speak for our wild horses. We need your help to get into the field to gain the information we need to defend our living symbol of Freedom.
Make no doubt these are tense times in our American West as profiteers bear down to rid the land of competition for your grazing land.
