Chica and Lola, the two mustangs who were rescued just days before being shipped to slaughter last month, have settled in nicely at Lifesavers. They were recently released from Quarantine, had their feet trimmed and were allowed to join other horses in the mares' pen. They stay close together as they are still learning their boundaries and rely on each other for comfort and friendship. We believe these two may be a mother and daughter pair - although no information to that came with them from the feedlot. At any rate - they are healthy and content and get fed plenty as you can tell. Thanks to our amazing donors for stepping up to save these two girls from a brutal death at the slaughterhouse.
