I have to tell you if I find an animal trapped in a hot car, I may smash the window to get it out AND report the owner to the cops, humane society and TELL EVERYBODY ON MY LIST WHO YOU HE OR SHE IS! And I know I am not alone in this.

Humane officers smash car window to save dog minutes away from dying

Humane society officers smashed in a car's window to save a Jack Russell Terrier who they say was just 15 minutes away from death.
Lincoln County Humane Society officers arrived to the parking lot at St. Catharine's Hospital in Canada on Monday and saw that the dog was unconscious in the front seat. Executive director Kevin Strooband was on scene and said the small dog was in the front of the Mercedes SUV. The time stamp on the parking ticket indicated the car had been parked for an hour.
"The dog was flat out in the front seat," Kevin told St. Catharine's Standard.
Kevin used his baton to smash the back window of the car to get inside to free the distressed dog. The dog's owners arrived shortly after and went with the inspectors to a local veterinarian.
It turns out the couple was from New York State and were at the hospital because the man's mother was dying. The humane society ended up charging the owner with a $185 fine for keeping a dog in a car without adequate ventilation, and due to the special circumstances released the dog to the owners with an offer to care for him while they visit the hospital.
Kevin said it was the first time in 22 years he's had to break into a vehicle. However, he said his officers have been dealing with calls about dogs left in hot cars every single day.
Kevin had one simple piece of common sense advice for people, "Just leave them at home."
