Our mission is to prevent American mustangs and domestic horses from being abused, abandoned, neglected and ultimately sent to slaughter through rescue, adoption, sanctuary, education and horse inspired growth and healing programs.
Lifesavers is the largest wild and domestic horse rescue in the world when measured by the number of horses we have rescued or assisted in rescuing since 1997 (around 1500) and the number of horses we care for currently (over 500). We have education and healing programs including: APT (Adoption Preparation Training), Happy Horse Academy (Natural Horsemanship instruction), Red Horse Nation (Native American healing), Wild Horse Boot Camp (Gentling workshop), Wild Horse Warriors (partners with Wounded Warrior Project) and our Horse Inspired Growth and Healing (HIGH).
