Horse Slaughter will be History with Fair Taxes and Committees

Small animals in America are supported with complex county infrastructures. Horses do not have that support. Petitioning Congress to create tax on every horse, not just horses under corporate tax laws, will allow funding for county support and sanctuaries.

In 2007, the last horse slaughterhouse in America closed.  Yet we ship over them to slaughter in other countries where horrific deaths await them.  It is all due to greed, ignorance and evil.  It doesn\'t matter if it\'s a retired two-hundred thousand dollar Thoroughbred, one of America\'s \'protected\' wild Mustangs, or one of the other 100,000 hapless equines in unfortunate circumstances.  It is a disgrace.

Khalil Gibran wrote that people are a reflection of how they treat their children and animals.  Horses are defined as companion animals in America.  So why are we sending them to slaughter?

Many Americans are poor examples of responsible horse ownership.  Americans have become a throw-away society.   Horses are a lifetime commitment of twenty to thirty-eight years.  Indolent horse breeders will learn the lesson of

responsible horse ownership through fair taxing and can use insurance instead of our government to carry losses.  Fair taxing includes: taxing all horses, omitting write-offs for dead horses, impact fees for foaling, and no breeding incentives.

Also, should we send enough petitions there will be plenty of funds to pay to keep our indigenous Mustangs on their inherited land and ban cattle.

All horse owners will become more responsible when paying taxes and over-population will gradually cease as horses become more valuable.
