Calico Horses Granted a 28-day Reprieve
Dear Friends of our Wild Horses;
I'm happy to share some good news! The BLM has agreed to delay the massive Calico roundup until December 28th after In Defense of Animals filed a lawsuit in DC court on Monday. This news is a welcome reprieve for the Calico Horses and we will continue calling for a freeze on all the 2009-2010 roundups (schedule here). Please look at the destructive actions BLM has scheduled from now until next September. It should be a real wake up call for everyone who values these beautiful symbols of freedom. Take a moment to write a comment calling for a moratorium on all round ups. Your comments will automatically be sent to President Obama and your Congressional Representatives, just click here. Please remember our wild horses and burros this holiday season and help us to stop the BLM from managing our wild horses to extinction.
