"What is going to happen here Sports Fans should be at least somewhat obvious at this point in time."
When the geo-thermal plant goes off-line -- after disappearing under the lava -- the power grid for the entire big island will probably be taxed beyond Its current limits, which means that the entire Big Island is going to start experiencing Rolling Blackouts, along with Scheduled Service Interruptions so that the Grid can continue to at least function for now, to say nothing of anymore larger explosions or massive earthquakes. Yikes!!
