A rare M3.1 earthquake has struck West Texas near the New Mexico border along the flanks of a large fracking / oil / gas pumping operation.
The location is also nearby Carlsbad Caverns national monument, and in close proximity to an ancient (extinct) volcano named Spring Hill Butte.
