Dutchsince: 4/08/2016 — “Explosion” / Blast near Oregon dormant Volcanoes / Newberry Crater
An explosion of some kind has occurred on the flanks of Newberry Volcanic Crater(s) in Central Oregon.
The explosive blast measured in at a magnitude 2.5 (M2.7), with an epicenter located in the forests between Three Rivers, OR and Newberry volcano.
The actual epicenter of the earthquake resides at the end of a lava field / old lava flow.

Update April 9, 2016 : People coming to my pages on facebook saying the “explosion” was for highway work at a gravel pit. No links provided to this highway explosion, instead just rude comments left denying a relation to the volcanoes nearby.
I don’t see any quarries at the earthquake epicenter.
