Video shows Earth 'breathing' in Canadian forest

APPLE RIVER, Nova Scotia - Folklore and art have long personified the Earth as a living, breathing being. A new video gives that notion some credence.
Smartphone footage shot in a Canadian forest on Oct. 31 by a man named Brian Nuttall shows a natural phenomenon that makes the ground appear to be breathing.
The Earth's movement in the video was caused by underground tree roots that somehow became disconnected, according to CBC News.
Nuttall posted the video to Facebook, where it has been watched over 3 million times, CBC News reported.
