Another noteworthy earthquake has occurred in the same region (aftershock) .. measuring 6.9M (some reporting 7.0M) .
New Zealand also showing additional activity.. could be a possible magnetic conjugate point (see below for more details on the conjugate connection between Alaska and New Zealand).

A large earthquake has struck the Western Aleutian Islands in Alaska. Measuring a preliminary 8.0 magnitude, producing a Tsunami warning / watch across the region.
This is a very sizable event for the region, and the first very large earthquake to occur around the Pacific in multiple months.
