BULLETIN ITEM: Seismic Tide Rising In Americas - Multiple Quakes In Chile w Class 6+ And 5.9 In North Atlantic Rift
These come after activity during the last 48 hours on the Carib Plate and increased movement along the Baja.
HEADS UP: The 5.9 North Atlantic Rift quakes just hours ago is a strong harbinger for increased quakes in North America and the Carib zone during the next several days. The coast from Alaska to Panama could be hit. The New Madrid - St. Lawrence Seaway fault zones could also be struck with a major quake.
Chile is probably releasing the tensions as a result of the 6.3 quake yesterday. This was a major rupture with many large alftershocks. These are likely to continue in the same range for another day or so and slowly decline in frequency and magnitude.
It is possible that additional major quakes could erupt in the Andes, especially in the area of Peru.
