MY SLIPPERS

lippers for years, that were now worn out.

I picked up the light brown leather “moccasin” slippers with a leather bow on the top of each. They were size 9, my size. What a coincidence! The price tag said $12.00, but the sale sign said 50% off. Wow! What a deal! Guess what, I bought them. I love them and I have worn them ever since.

This morning as I was meditating and thinking about many things, and especially the outcome of Tuesday’s national elections, my eyes fell upon my leather slippers. The leather bows were now both gone, as the leather shoe strings would never stay tied and finally broke. The slippers still look quite nice with their brass eye-lets around the top and molded rubber soles. The soles have made the difference. My feet do not get wet from the grass, when I go out to fill the birdfeeder or check the flower and vegetable gardens in the early morning. Sometimes I wear them to run out and change the lawn sprinkler, and my feet stay dry. I love that because I can not write or even think well with wet slippers and cold feet.

I was noticing the tag on the inside of the left slipper. It says “9”, PRD #5501314, Leather upper, balance man-made materials, Made in China, 205F2. Then in the bottom of the slipper another tag reads, “Foot Warmers by Laguna”. This tells me all about my slippers but this information brought many questions to my mind. Why were these slippers made in China and not here in the United States? Who made them? Did little Chinese children working long hours for very little pay make them? Is Sears, even on sale, making a large profit on these slippers? From what animal was the leather made? Did the leather come from some other country than China, perhaps the U.S.? Why is Sears buying slippers in China to sell in the U.S.?

The one thing on the “tag” that puzzled me was “leather upper, balance man-made materials”. The rubber soles and cloth lining and foam rubber pad that I can see through the hole in the cloth lining in the heel of my right slipper are all “man made”. These were all made through modern plastic technology. What about the leather? The leather came from the skin of some animal. Should we say “animal- made leather”? Should we say “God-made” leather”? It is interesting that even in the making of my slippers, there is a subtle reference to Creator God on the “tag”. The reader of the “tag” is left to assume that the leather is not man-made, but the rest of the materials in the slipper are not “God-made”.

Of course, we know that such information on any product is provided to influence the buyer’s choices and to advertise man’s technological advances. My question is, “Where does Creator God stand and how does He rate in all of man’s doings?” Is He not the Creator of all that Is? Is He not the Creator of the animals and the leather, of the “man-made materials”, as well as the technology to make them? Is He not the Creator of the little Chinese children, who may have made my slippers, and of the Sears Store and the Sears sales lady, who sold them to me?

Creator God is involved in everything that exists and in everything that happens everywhere in all of Creation. Why is it that we so often do not recognize that, and do not offer appreciation to Creator God for all things? As I write to the children of today, I am reminded that “a little child shall lead us”. It is the children, who so often are closer to Creator God, than are their parents.

You children are not yet caught up in the “grown-up” world of having and doing, but are content to just be you. You notice the little insects and the colorful flowers that older people step on, and you feel sad when this happens. You children, yes, even you high school students, are still children, and you sit and daydream about what is and what could be. You have great hopes and dreams and feelings, and know in your heart that things can be different, and that you can make a difference. The little things, even a pair of slippers can remind you of Creator God.

You are never alone. You always have a friend with you wherever you go, because Creator God is always with you. He never leaves you, and He always loves you and will protect and guide you, if you ask for His help. To have His help you simply say or think, “God, help!” Creator God created everything that exists and dearly loves His Creation.

This does not mean that Creator God loves everything that you do. You have been created with a freewill to choose, and have the knowledge of right and wrong according to Creator God’s Laws within your conscience. Your task is to learn to choose wisely so that you live in harmony and balance with Creator God’s Laws. That is how you find true happiness. Yet, you are free to choose otherwise to learn your lessons in soul growth. You are free to experiment and experience all that the Darkside offers. Such choices will bring you pain, fear, stress, loneliness and maybe even death, but in a future lifestream you will return to finish the lessons you did not complete now. When you have learned to live in harmony and balance with Creator God’s Laws, you will graduate to live in a place where there is no evil. That place is a higher dimension known as fifth dimension, which some people call “Heaven”.

Creator God has given the people of our planet Earth the opportunity to create “Heaven” on our earth, now. He and all the Angels of Heaven will help us, but we must ask for their help. If they do it for us without our permission, then they have taken away our freewill. That is against Creator God’s Law, so it is up to us to ask for their help to stop the evil, correct the wrongs, and bring peace, freedom and happiness again to our world.

To have peace and happiness in our world today is really very simple. We must ask Creator God for it. As a freewill people, what we ask Creator for in goodness, we shall have. Many of us older people are doing that now. I ask that you children do the same thing. You know the feelings of hurt, of loneliness, of not being loved or treated fairly. You want to be loved, to have a friend, and to be treated fairly and kindly. Ask Creator God for that! He loves you and wants to know how He can help you and everyone in our world, but He can not help you unless you ask for His help. That’s the Law! Tell Him that you love Him and that you want a better world. That is how we will turn our world into “Heaven on Earth”. It is everyone’s job to help.

Everything around you should remind you of Creator God and how important He is to our lives. The smallest things and the simplest things, like my pair of slippers, can help us to think about Creation and the meaning of everything. Take the time right now to think, to daydream and let your thoughts go. See where they lead you. Your thought power can create in real life all that you can imagine. What is it that you think about? What is it that you imagine? What is it that you truly want, to be happy? Let us think good and happy thoughts, and then ask Creator God to help us to make them come true. Creation is a miracle! We are a miracle! Together with Creator God, we can make miracles happen right now in our lives and in our world? It’s all about the power of thought, for what we think about, comes about. Let us think Heaven on Earth, now, and it shall be!

You children can make a big difference in changing our world to goodness. We older people need your help to do so. Will you help us? Will you ask Creator God to help all of us create our “Heaven on Earth”, now?
