~~~A PARABLE: THE THIEF!
Patrick H. Bellringer
A thief breaks into your house and throws you and your family out, and takes up residence. You and your family end up hiding in the woodshed in your backyard, and the police and the neighbors do nothing. You scavage for food and water, have no sanitary facilities, no health care, no electricity and no heat during the winter nights. The leaky roof and cracks in the woodshed walls offer little protection for your hungry family sleeping on the dirt floor. And the neighbors don’t care!
In desperation you throw rocks at the backdoor of “your” house. The thief calls the media and tells the world that you are harassing him, and he feels threatened. “He has the right to protect himself!” He drags a recliner chair onto the back porch, sets 30, 12 gauge loaded shot guns and 89 hunting rifles with scopes against the back wall of “your’ house.
The thief stacks 70 boxes of 12 gauge shot gun shells and 105 cases of rifle shells on the porch beside his chair. He takes direct and immediate action to protect himself from harm by shooting at your woodshed at anytime day or night. And nobody cares!
The thief shoots the door off your woodshed. He shoots the roof off and destroys one end. He kills your wife, your dog and your three kids. He shoots your right leg off. And no one cares!
The neighbors hold meetings and talk about how bad their neighborhood is, and that something should be done, but nothing gets done, because nobody cares!
Interpretation: The thief is Israel, you are the Palestinians, and the neighbors are everyone else in the whole wide world. And you think that there is no such thing as Karma?
