"Hello, Central!" What Do You Think About Cremation?

officiated at many funerals and worked with many morticians during my years in the "Christian" Ministry, I must admit to certain biases about our modern methods of disposing of the human body.

As you probably know, the oldest and most populated, and Eastern societies on our planet have used cremation, as the means of disposing of the human body, due to lack of space for burial, and to prevent disease, and stop pollution of soil and ground water.

Today, burial costs are prohibitive, and carting the body around for show is barbaric. So, cremation is again becoming acceptable in Western society. Yes, creation is fine. It saves funeral costs, unless you fall for the mortician's trick of having a casket display of the corpse prior to cremation.

Once the person has died and the soul has left the body, it really does not matter how the physical body is reduced to the "dust" of the earth. It would seem wise to consider the problems of disease and pollution that ground burial causes for the living, and to avoid the unnecessary expense of complying with society's funeral/religion big business.

It would seem appropriate to use the cremation ashes to fertilize the ground to raise food for our planet's starving people. You may have noticed that former Exxon-Mobil's CEO, Lee Raymond, is heading a study to recycle human bodies to produce oil in an emergency. I prefer that we use grandmother for fertilizer and not oil! May she "rest in peace"!

In Love and Light,
