'Hello, Central!' Ascension, Noticeable or Not?(Updated Nov. 29, 2008)

Thank you once again for your wonderful website, it has bought a whole new meaning to my life and a thirst for the truth.
I have one question regarding ascension. I've read different accounts of what the 'end/beginning' of this cycle will be like. Some say you may not even notice it, it may come and go in an instant, particularly for those continuing in another 3D lifestream, life may continue just as it did before. If that's true, then say some members of their family have ascended to the fifth dimension, won't they wonder where they have gone to if they are not physically with them anymore. Or will everyone be told at that moment what is happening.
Also, I was sent this link, which appears to be doing the rounds. The entity (for want of a better word), seems genuine. What are your thoughts on this http://home.comcast.net/~readingnews/Hidden_Hand.html
