really look at what is important in your personal life, in the life of each country and then your planet as a whole.

We have spoken oftentimes about how it is that you become involved in situations, in this case war, and it seems that it brings forth for many a kind of terror of powerlessness. In other words there are, we would say, a great percentage of the peoples of your country, the United States of America, who do not desire this war and in a way it is as if what they believe in and what they feel have been totally disregarded as the government, a body of people, have moved forth with their own agenda.

Now of course none of you are separate from this business called war, however how does it touch your personal day-to-day life? And what is it that you may do personally to focus on peace and harmony, to give forth the idea or prayer, if you like, of compassion for all of those involved, even those that you would label dictators or power-brokers, even those that you would say are responsible for this situation. Because, in a way, truly they do not know what they do, so involved are they in their own story, in their own idea of power.

So then it becomes apparent that each of you has a responsibility either to add fuel to this idea-construct of war or give your energy and focus and attention to the idea of peace, of love, of maintaining your own integrity, as it were, of being in your power-place. Because the bottom line is each one of you has a choice in every moment of how you will be in whatever the situation is.

How does that feel?

Q: That feels very good and it brings up some questions we had about our subconscious beliefs that are creating our realities. When they are subconscious, how do we uncover them?

P'taah: All right, well you know truly nothing is really hidden because even that which of the subconscious shows itself in your life. So where you look at your life and you see that in your own personal experience there is that which is coming forth that you do not consciously desire, then it is for you each to say, "I have co-created this from some deep belief and the only thing that I can consciously do is perhaps to uncover the belief." If you cannot, then it is simply to say this, "What is the gift in this situation and what does it show me about who I am? What does it show me that I may change in my day-to-day life, where I am putting my focus and attention, to transform myself in this situation."

Q: I think the difficulty arises when, for instance, you think consciously that you want peace, you're a peace-loving person, you go about trying to create peace in your life and in this war situation you may even march for peace, but the war is going on. Therefore you look at it and you say that somehow I am also creating it, but in no way is it apparent to me how I am.

P'taah: Beloved, you know we remind you not to get caught up in the story. This is not about the story. This is about your reaction to a perceived exterior situation.

Q: Which brings me to one of my first questions which is how best to avoid buying into the story when it's a mass hysteria of a story.

P'taah: Well you know, there is part of each of you that loves the drama of it all, hmm? And that is all right. You are humans existing in this human experience of third density and all the drama therein. However, it is that you are each sovereign gods and goddesses and indeed it is your responsibility to take note of your reaction and to say, "You know, if you do enjoy getting caught up in the drama, that is all right. " This is a grand game you are playing, we remind you.

If it is that you do not desire, then you have a choice about how you will react. Whether or not you will give your energy and power to your television and your newspaper, to what you would call 'dinner time discussion'. Whether or not you will get caught up in the frenzy of this situation or whether you will say, "You know, all of it is valid but in fact this is not my desire to be in this excitement." You see? The moment that you can step back from the story, you have changed or defused the situation for yourself. Does that make sense to you?

Q: It does, but there are so many people who find it difficult not to believe they're responsible for what is happening. I can find peace. I can not buy into the story but...

P'taah: Beloved, what else is there? You see, this is the whole situation. You are not in the war zone and your only responsibility is to deal with your own reality. You cannot change other people's ideas. You cannot change other people's beliefs. You cannot change, nor are you responsible for, other people's feelings. And where there is hatred and terror, violence, well indeed that is all valid. Is it your responsibility? No. Your responsibility is 'how are you in this situation?' "
