Update: Quiet Before The Storm

First, let me address (once again) this 'Elenin' frenzy going around the internet. I can assure you with every ounce of credibility you may grant me - nothing, absolutely nothing can suppress the knowledge or announcement of any form of celestial orb without the worlds amateur astronomers yelling at the top of their lungs. Let us not forget - it is the amateur astronomer who finds 90% of asteroids, comets, or meteors. 'Elenin' is nothing to be concerned about.
There are too many 'real' events unfolding now and in the near future to consume your energy on a non-event. Having said this, I do encourage each one of you to do your own research and above all - use your gift of discernment. Just because NASA or I say something with assertiveness or in terms of absolute - does not make it "the" truth, it only makes it our truth.

Two weeks until the end of August - here is what's going on so far. Volcanoes 'Cleveland' and 'Kilauea' have been raised today to code "orange" - meaning Volcano is exhibiting heightened or escalating unrest with increased potential of eruption, timeframe uncertain, or eruption is underway but poses limited hazards.
Several cme's (coronal mass ejections) have erupted during the last 48 hours, but none of them is expected to be geomagnetic since they are all directed away from Earth. We therefore expect quiet geomagnetic conditions for the next 24 hours. Sunspot regions 1271 and 1272 are the most active and could produce M-class flares this week.
Hurricane season continues to ramp up with tropical storms ' Fernanda' and 'Greg' now reaching 75 mile per hour winds. Stay tuned for the weekend updates .................
