Painting the Town with Wi-Fi

Right near Opera's home base in Oslo, a couple of ambitious students conducted an art project of sorts that combines light, photography and Wifi! Wifi signals are everywhere, permeating the air in almost all urban areas.

These students from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design used a long pole with flashing lights that visually represented the strength of Wireless network signals in that spot, and used a slow-shutter camera technique to take photos in a process known as light-painting. The results are quite impressive. Check the video below to see how they did it and what the results look like.
