Dear VKD,

Please consider the following, which may explain more than wood in the woodpile?  Within the last 3 weeks or so, two major events occurred.  Readers of fourwinds and RMN know of the financial war that is going on, but the energy war is compartmentalized that few even notice.  I am a novice researcher on oil and gas, where it is and how it gets to market.  Our world is centred on finances and energy.

As stated above inside the last 3 weeks, two major deals went down.  First of all, visit this website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Stream.  On 15 May 2009 in Sochi Russia, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi, the gas companies of Russia, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece signed an agreement on construction of the South Stream pipeline.  Those readers that are following world events will note that recently PM Silvio Berlusconi has been a victim of personal attacks.  This is not a defence of the Italian PM, but the timing is impeccable?  Also note that the pipeline will be routed through Greece.  Everybody knows what has been going on there.

The second event that in my opinion is huge is the Iran Pakistan India pipeline got a major obstacle out of the way a few days ago.  Iran and Pakistan have agreed to natural gas prices, as shown here: http://www.upi.com/Energy_Resources/2009/05/28/IP-or-IPI-pipeline/UPI-53001243537126/.  Whether India joins this pipeline project remains an outstanding factor?  India is under supplied by 40% and if they want to be an economic powerhouse they need natural gas.  Another coincidence is that now the Taliban is in Pakistan, once they started negotiating with Iran on supplies of natural gas?

As you can see, chaos seems to follow all the countries that do not follow the plan of the western big oil companies.  The South Stream pipeline as announced in Sochi Russia eliminates the need for the Nabucco Pipeline big oil wanted.  In almost every instance Russia and China get their way, however, they did it by peaceful means.  While the western big oil companies have used the US military, CIA black ops, and bullying and have failed miserably.

I could be wrong, but let the reader be the judge?
