(NaturalHealth365) The March Against Monsanto was a huge success. Millions of people, around the world, expressed their disgust with genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and the corporate greed over people philosophy of Monsanto – one of the most hated corporations in the world.
According to the most recent polls, most United States citizen are in favor of labeling GMOs – despite what the biotech industry would have you believe. Nobody likes how Monsanto is trying to dominate (and own) the entire food supply – through genetically engineered foods and patent rights.
Genetic manipulation of our food supply has NOT produced greater yields; increases the need for toxic pesticides; decreases nutritional value; promotes poor farming practices – which destroy the quality of our soil and threatens the health of all life forms – with unpredictable genetic outcomes, digestive disorders, plus much more.
GMOs are banned or heavily regulated in many countries around the world. Why aren’t we, in the United States, being more precautious about food safety issues? After all, don’t we have a right to know what’s in our food and that it’s safe?
I want to thank the organizers of this event. Today, more than ever, we need to voice our concerns and stand up for what we believe in. And, for those of you who participated in this rally – thank you!
