Yes, and this did make headlines because they're Anarchists, dontcha know. But the protests in the UK? What protests? What UK? What are you talking about? I read that and I could not believe what I was reading -- *teargas*? 8000 cops for 1000 protestors and they have to use teargas? Jeb's in charge! Meanwhile approximately a quarter of a million people protest in the UK and no teargas. You won't see that on the snooze.

Yup, that crazy Al Martin.
He said the HS people were buying up those special vehicles for suppressing riots and marchers. That's a picture of one of them. But Al is not a "reliable source", of course. I keep wondering though, how come he is right so often, if he isn't a "reliable source"?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What I think about Martin
Is that there is an ongoing effort to totally discredit him, in the media. He turned on the Repubican during Iran Contra and told what he knew to congress. He still has friends in the military, highly placed friends. He doesn't mince words, he tells it like he sees it. Often, he actually is wrong, because he is essentially predicting the future, and things may get changed or defunded before they are actually implemented. In other words, he often talks about the plans, not what is actually going down at that moment. And people may be feeding him disinformation sometimes, or they may not understand what is being proposed, or some of his friends may be trying to keep him somewhat discredited. They may even be doing him a favor. Wonder if he flies much?

Just returned from Miami
I marched with the IBEW (Electrical Workers union). The unions have been working with the police for months and were totally peaceful...the march was predominately union. We were shocked to see hundreds of police standing in lines attired in full riot gear. As we were waiting to get through security we talked with the police...we actually felt sorry for them because of the sun and heat. I never thought I would say this, but I felt like they were doing their job...thank heavens they have one in Florida!...there was a feeling that they were sympathetic to why we were there in the first place. But, their presence was a complete over reaction...compare Miami to London for example. The unions are very upset with what is happening to our country. There is absolutley no doubt that people will be voting "just to get rid of Bush". That was the predominate theme. By the way, it was neat but very sad to see dozens of protesters wearing Wellstone shirts in his memory and spirit.
